The QR code on the battery
Every battery gets its own code, printed on a label or engraved on the battery. Scanning it opens this page. Restricted data is shown only to people with access rights.
About this sample
- It's a light means of transport (LMT) battery for an e-cargo bike, imported from outside the EU, so the importer is the responsible economic operator.
- Fields with no value yet are left off. Carbon footprint, recycled content and due diligence information aren't shown because they aren't required yet in February 2027.
- The restricted parts (detailed composition, part numbers and spare-part contacts, dismantling, safety measures, state of health and usage, test reports) are stored with the passport but not shown publicly.
- See the full list of fields in our guide: What data goes into a battery passport.
